Thomas Loewen (2010)

During the 2008-2009 school year, Thomas had many problems for which he was sent to the discipline office during his freshman year in high school. He suffered some fairly severe consequences due to some inappropriate choices he made. At the end of the school year, Thomas told our discipline office that he was going to change. True to his word, Thomas has been in the discipline office rarely during the 2009-10 school year ! He has been on time to his classes regularly and his behavior has been exceptional. To top this change off, he recently found a $20 bill in the hallway that had been reported lost. When Thomas found the money, he gladly turned it in to the discipline office. Thomas is also an accomplished musician and participates in both our marching and symphonic bands. For these reasons, and for the fact Thomas has turned his life around in such a positive direction this school year, it is my pleasure to name Thomas Loewen as the recipient of the Sparks High School Teen Truth Live Difference Maker Award for this school year.
