Timbercrest is filled with thoughtful and kind students. Our school community has many students who make a difference in the lives of their fellow students. Sometimes, though, there is one student who exemplifies the idea of “being the difference”. Nathan Dayton is one of those students. Nathan is a quiet leader. He leads by quiet and consistent example. His willingness to help others, regardless of grade level or circle of friends makes him stand out among his peers. It is this quiet consistency that inspired many of his fellow students to nominate him as a candidate for “Being the Difference”.

One of the ways that Nathan is the difference is that he can always be counted on to do the right thing. His behavior does not change depending on who is watching or not watching. Nathan sets high standards for himself academically and strives to always do his best. His deep regard for family is evident when you speak with him. Nathan’s moral compass is finely calibrated, but he is not judgmental. Nathan’s quiet self-confidence and unswerving dedication to being kind to others is a credit to his character. He is the difference at Timbercrest, and we are confident that he will continue to be the difference next year when he begins attending Woodinville High School.
