We at Magnolia Science Academy 1, would like to acknowledge Jessica Perez for her outstanding service to MSA 1. She was our 2011-2012 ASB President and help with many school activities and events. She helped plan assemblies, fundraisers, dances, peer mentored younger students, etc. She was always willing to offer a helping hand with a smile! She is a model student and truly made a difference at our school.

John Brazier (2012)

John Brazier is an integral and influential person in the Heritage Regional High School community, and has been since he first stepped foot into the building. In Secondary 1 he participated in the Vow of Silence, an activity designed to raise awareness for the plight of those who experience poverty. In secondary 2 he was a member of the woodworking club. I have two 6th grade students I would like to nominate for the Difference Maker Award at Marshall. They are Flora Perlmutter and Colin Snyder. These two young people lead a team of students who work with our severely challenged students in our Moderate to Severely Handicapped class. Both Colin and Flora work directly with the teacher, Mr. Giertych, who trains them. Both students are deeply compassionate and skilled young people who are comfortable working with severely autistic and severely disabled students. Nicole Archibald is a well deserving sophomore here at Marlborough High School of this award. She has contributed to many of our school organizations, such as Peer Leaders, SAAD, Fitness Club, Student Council and Social Connections. Her contributions to these organizations are of leadership quality, organizing events and campaigns, representing Marlborough at the Youth Activation Council Conference and speaking to students about personal truths of bullying during the Rachel’s Challenge Program. Andrew Schwartz is a senior at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, NY. He is the first student in the history of TEEN TRUTH LIVE to organize TEEN TRUTH LIVE sessions at not only his school, but three sister schools, and a community wide parents night. He is a friend of TEEN TRUTH, and he received this honorary difference maker award from TEEN TRUTH Co-Founder JC Pohl. We are thankful for his support and are honored to have him as part of our team.
